Stayed in a beautiful hotel in a tiny village with stunning views of the mountains. The hotel had a great spa that we enjoyed after long hikes. Food was pricey but delicious. There was a cute little riverside bar/cafe nearby, which was a nice spot for a drink. We also enjoyed a short trip to a neighboring town to check out the sights.
There wasn't much to see in the village except nature, so not great if you're looking for a lot to do. The food was quite expensive, so budget-conscious travelers might want to take that into consideration.

This hotel is a luxurious retreat in a secluded mountainous area with stunning views of the Sierra de Gredos. We enjoyed exclusive amenities such as a private Jacuzzi, spa treatment, and a fireplace in our room. the attentive staff was always eager to assist with any need, and the food offered was delightful with a vast selection of local delicacies. the location advantages were many, including nearby hiking trails and charming nearby towns.
The only minor issue we faced was the lack of a fitness center, which we expected as a given in a hotel of this caliber. the nearby hiking trails more than made up for it.

Spent a lovely Christmas break at a hotel in a small village nestled in the Sierra de Gredos mountain area. the location was perfect for daily hikes, which offered stunning views of the natural surroundings. After a long day of hiking, the spa facilities were a great way to unwind and relax. the food was also top-notch, although it was a bit pricey. There was a cute riverside bar/cafe within walking distance, which was perfect for a quick bite.
The lack of activities to do outside of hiking and using the spa facilities. Although the hotel was located close to El Barco de Avila, there wasn't much to do there besides visit the town.

Really beautiful, good value for money, pleasent view, quiet and servicable. Looks as good as on the pictures.
Unfortunatly the english of the staff varies from medium to non-exictent, making it very hard to communicate with the staff, and get information about the facilities. They are nice and trying to be accomodating, but the language barrier is a definite. It's not something that should keep you away from this beautiful hotel though!!

The male waiter who served us dinner and the female waitress who served us breakfast the next morning made our stay bearable. The rooms were clean.
It was the middle of August and for most hotels this is their busiest time; we were the only two guests on the hotel.. It was spooky. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel but the service is not 5 star. No porter took our luggage; no one showed us our room and we got lost, We were the only ones in the restaurant and they very little white wine. Dissappointed.
